Like to travel? Yeah me too. But it always helps to know the language of the place you are traveling to. Otherwise It will not that be that fun, getting lost, not being able to ask the locals where the best places to visit are, or the best places to party, or whatever you are into. The point I am trying to make is that when you are going to visit a new country, it helps to know the language. Learning a new language can take a toll on your wallet. Paying for lessons or getting a tutor or teacher, but it doesn’t have to be that way. There plenty of ways that you can learn a new language and get it for free, or at least learn it for a small price. In this short article I am going to give you some ideas and come up with ways that you can learn that language you need.

One way is to set up a little language exchange meeting. Meet someone that speaks the language you want, and they can teach you while you teach them your language. For example, you teach that person English, and answer any questions about it that they have, and in return, they do the same for you. So both of you get to learn from a native speaker, which is like getting a tutor, except for a small difference: It’s Free!

The old fashioned way, is getting a book from a library that teaches you a new language, and try it that way. It might not the most effective way, but at least it’s something. Something that is a bit more effective then a book is getting an interactive CD. These are pretty good since you actually get to practice, and they usually involve some fun ways to help you learn. The most effective way to learn a new language is to go to a country where the language you want to learn is the primary language. My suggestion is going to a country where the exchange rate gives you more money over there, so that you don’t spend a lot of money on this learning experience. Learning a new language is important and very helpful for traveling and is a great life skill. But it doesn’t have to come at a high cost. You can use these methods to learn a new language for cheap or even free.

Another way is to find an online pen pal. You can search for people in different groups on Google or other search engines, or you can use instant message chat rooms. You can teach them your language, while they teach you theirs. Some sites that help you find an online pen pall like this are: http://www.polyglot-learn-language.com or http://lingozone.com (both of these are free sites, which is a great advantage, since most of these types of sites try to charge you for these services. http://learn-spanish-crazy-fast.blogspot.com/
